Original Paintings Hand painted, one of a kind, made slowly in the mountains of Tuscany
I never thought of myself as a painter. In my previous life — busier, noisier, more controlled by other people’s timetables — it simply never felt like something available to me. I was musical as a child, I played instruments, I had that creative instinct somewhere underneath everything. But painting? That felt like something other people did.
Then I moved to these mountains.
Something about the light here. The pace. The actual physical space to stop and look properly at the world around you. It unlocked something I didn’t know was waiting. I picked up a brush almost tentatively — and I haven’t put it down since.
Twenty years later, painting feels as natural as walking the dog or picking up my knitting. It came from here. From choosing this life. From slowing down enough to find out who I actually was beneath the noise.
