If you’ve followed my earlier work as Jan’s Rustic Life, you’ll know that I’ve always shared quiet glimpses of my life here in Tuscany — crafting, restoring, and finding beauty in the everyday. Over time, I began to feel that “rustic” didn’t quite express the full picture. My life is simple, yes, but also filled with art, design, and gentle elegance.
And so, Janet in Italy was born.
This isn’t a dramatic change — it’s a soft evolution. My videos and writing will still share slow living, art, and creative home projects, but also more travel, more inspiration, and more of the small details that make life here so lovely.
In this first season of Janet in Italy, I’ll be sharing a new video that begins right where life feels most real — from flowers on my sunny Tuscan balcony to a journey north through Edinburgh and England. There are exhibitions, thrift finds, and ideas waiting to bloom back home again.
It feels like the right way to begin.
